Getting here and there

You’ll find us in Lillehammer’s historic station building, centrally located at Jernbanetorget 2-4.

Lillehammer’s charming pedestrian street is just two blocks away, less than a five-minute walk from the hotel.

Trains and buses leave right outside our door, making us the perfect base for exploring Lillehammer and the surrounding region.

Hafjell, one of Norway’s largest ski resorts, is just 15 km north of Lillehammer. During the season (December to April), the Hafjell bus runs directly from us to the slopes.

Hunderfossen Adventure Park is also 15 km north of us, with regular bus departures throughout the summer season.

Birkebeineren Ski Stadium, venue for the cross-country skiing and biathlon events at the 1994 Winter Olympics, is just a few kilometres from the hotel.

Nordseter and Sjusjøen, two exceptional winter ski destinations, are around 20-25 km from the hotel.

All of these destinations can be reached by bus from the station, with departures varying by season.

By train

Vy and SJ trains stop right outside Stasjonen Hotell, making the train an easy and eco-friendly way to get here.

From the south, there are trains almost every hour from Oslo, Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Sandefjord Airport Torp. From the north, there are 3-4 departures a day from Trondheim, with connections from Åndalsnes and Bodø.

By bus

Buses stop right outside Stasjonen Hotell, so you can step off the bus and walk straight into our reception.

Long-distance coaches from Nor-Way Bussekspress serve Lillehammer, and Lavprisekspressen is another affordable option for travel both north and south.

car & parking

Getting here
Leave the E6 at the Lillehammer South exit by the Mjøsa Bridge, towards Strandtorget and Circle K, and follow the signs for Lillehammer town centre. Go straight over the roundabout by the petrol station and continue through the tunnel. After the tunnel, turn left and follow the signs to the train station.

Check-in
Park in the short-term parking area and take a free 30-minute parking ticket. Our reception is in the main building, the oldest of the station buildings. Once you’ve checked in, you can move your car to the long-term car park.

Long-term parking
From the short-term parking area, take the first right and drive under the railway bridge. Continue past the commuter car park to the main car park. Please note that parking here is not free. You’ll find the parking machine by the stairs, where a pedestrian tunnel under the tracks leads you straight to the station.

Ev charging

Need to charge your electric car?

There are several charging options close by. You’ll find Tesla Superchargers at Strandtorget shopping centre and at the Esso station at Sandum, next to Burger King, just off the E6.

There are also a number of other public charging points around Lillehammer, which you can find easily with apps such as PlugShare.
